Sermorelin + GHRP-2
The legacy GH-axis stack that preceded CJC/Ipa — functionally similar but GHRP-2's cortisol/prolactin burden makes it a step down.
Verdict — C · Emerging / Mixed
A legacy combination largely superseded by CJC/Ipa. GHRP-2's cortisol and prolactin co-stimulation is a real practical step down from Ipamorelin. Choose CJC/Ipa unless there is a specific clinical reason to prefer this older stack.
Overview
Sermorelin + GHRP-2 was the prevailing compounded GH-axis combination before Ipamorelin became widely available. It pairs a GHRH analogue with GHRP-2, a ghrelin mimetic that produces a strong GH pulse but with measurable cortisol and prolactin co-stimulation. The combination is component-derived; no fixed-blend RCT exists. Its primary weakness relative to CJC/Ipa is the GHRP-2 leg — the hormonal side-effect burden is meaningfully higher than Ipamorelin.
