HGH
Somatropin
The gold-standard GH compound — FDA-approved for six indications, decades of RCT data, and the hardest to source cleanly.
Verdict — B · Viable
The most evidence-rich GH compound in the catalog — FDA-approved, decades of RCT data. But off-label body-composition use is weaker, IGF-1 elevation carries real cancer-signal concern, and gray-market sourcing is genuinely hazardous. Rx-only through a licensed clinic is the only acceptable path.
Overview
Recombinant human growth hormone (somatropin) has the most extensive clinical evidence base of any GH-axis compound, FDA-approved for pediatric GH deficiency, adult GH deficiency, short stature, HIV wasting, and more since 1985. Off-label use in healthy adults for body composition and anti-aging is widespread but poorly supported by registered trials and carries real IGF-1-elevation risks. Sourcing is the critical bottleneck: branded somatropin requires a prescription, and gray-market vials carry severe counterfeiting and batch-mislabeling risk.
